DNS resolves IP address to names. Like you type www.google.com and it knows where that is 64.233.161.99
If DNS isn't enabled on your computer you will have trouble getting on the internet. Right click on My Network Places and then select properties, then right click your internet connection and select properties. In that box you should find Internet Protocol TCP/IP. double click this to open and be sure that the buttons for automatically obtain IP address and the button for automatically obtain DNS info are checked. click apply and ok. If this doesn't solve the problem, let us know and we'll try something else.

On the one that isn't working, click start, run and in the box type cmd then hit enter. This brings up a command prompt. Type ipconfig /all and hit enter. You need the space between ipconfig and the /all. This will tell you what your IP and DNS settings currently are. Post this info please. Also, you may want to check your router and see how many IP addresses it is sending out. You may have to enable more.
