what is b/g
on a wireless netowork card what does the b/g stand for at the end. for example:
Intel Pro/Wireless 2200b/g
im assuming a card with a b is comaptible with any other card with a b and same with a g.

This means it works on any 2.4 GHZ 11meg or 54meg wireless network based on the 802.11B and 802.11G standard.
