| Dope Tech | plug the modem to the router, then connect the router to the switch, and then the comps to the switch. the router to the switch will require a crossover unless the switch has an uplink port, which could be marked with an X.

| Dope Tech | you can use a straight cable if the switch has an uplink port, otherwise you will need to use a crossover. you'll have to read the swicth documentation to find out which port is uplink. modem>router>switch>pcs
