Waiting Long to Access Internet

I want to ask why everytime i open my pc, i have to wait long before i can online ?
My house modem was plug to the switch and router which will be then our PCs.

plug the modem to the router, then connect the router to the switch, and then the comps to the switch.

the router to the switch will require a crossover unless the switch has an uplink port, which could be marked with an X.

the router is normal house used only.. router to switch also need the crossover cable ? straight thru cannot ?

you can use a straight cable if the switch has an uplink port, otherwise you will need to use a crossover. you'll have to read the swicth documentation to find out which port is uplink.

modem>router>switch>pcs
