Does anyone have a good prgram, preferably free, that allows voice chat over a LAN? Its primary use will be chatting during a LAN parties in seperate rooms for Battlefield 1942. Thanks

Perfect.....use Roger Wilco. I use it for BF:42 and BF:V all the time. Works great!

Teamspeak is my favorite because it has so many codec choices and the "channel commander" functions which make it much more powerful if you use it for large scale gaming (I used to.) With it you can have a lot of command & control...for instance, in WWII online we would make teams of 7-8, and then make 5-8 teams, each with its own channel. You then have 5-8 small channels instead of 50+ people babbling all at once. The "leaders" make themselves channel commanders, which allows them to speak in all channels at once. Pretty cool.

Oh yeah, and it's free. :P I also use it to talk to my family sometimes, they live about 350 miles away from me, we both have cable and it's as good as talking on a telephone.
