Vista Hard Freeze When Connected to Wireless Network

Hi all,

I just installed a D-Link DWA-542, and as soon as I enter the network key and connect to the router (Netgear WGR 614 v.6) Windows freezes. No blue screens, just frozen. Any advise?

I'm running an i7 on an ASUS P6T Delux, Vista 64

Are you using Vista's wireless software or D-Links?

im having a few troubles with my D.LINK as well. i just cant seem to get it to connet to the router in the lounge room. because it sas that d.link isn't turned on but it know's its there.

im using XP SP1 i think.

I'm using Vista's. I haven't tried D-Link's. I'll do it now.

D-Link's software doesn't even start. The cursor idles for a few seconds, and nothing happens. I reinstalled the D-Link software with no improvement.

Playing with some different drivers ATM

Reinstall the D-Link drivers. Seems to be a conflict between the drivers and the OS.

I seem to have solved my own problem. Needed new drivers (here)... man I'm a noob
