| Hello I have been trying for that past few hours to get this USB wireless adapter working. USB Device All i want is for it to act as an access point so i can connect to it with my DS/Wii/Laptop. I have another usb which i bought for myself (the one that isnt working is for my girlfreinds computer) and that is working fine, it is a different model and make though, but i set up a access point for that with out problems. I basically want to know if it is possible for this to act as an access point or is it some kind of other usb wireless adapter that doesnt allow for it. It has a option to set it to an infrastructure, which is what i thought was similar to an access point, but it doesn't work when i try and connect to it. What i think is wrong is that the wireless utility provided with the USB device doesn't bridge the wireless connection to my LAN network. In the other USB device that i have it has an option where i select the LAN device to use to bridge too. Sorry if i am not making sense, i only really just starting using wireless so i might not know what i am talking about. The only slight way i can get some kind of connection is by using Ad-Hoc mode. With this, my devices such as DS, laptop etc can see that there is a signal but it is useless for internet. Any suggetions would be helpful. Is there some program that i can use with this USB device that i can select the LAN adapter to connect with and set up an access point? Thanks. |
