Default USB Wireless Adapter?

I'm having problems with a USB wireless adapter. The connectivity seems to be just fine, but when connecting to either the router or the internet, connections time out. The USB port is a USB 1.1; could that be the problem?

Thanks

Snake

Possibly.......USB 2.0 will operate at 1.1 speeds.

If your wireless card is 2.0, you insert it into usb 1.1, it operates and 1.1.

1.1 can't go higher obviously, but 2.0 can be 2.0 or 1.1

Make sense?

Hello,

So, has the router's assigned an IP address to your pc?

Yes, the PC does have an IP Address given by the router. That's why it is so confusing for me. It's not mine, it's for a family member, and I set up their network. Everything went well except for this one PC which is assigned an IP but can't connect to anything on the network.
