| Mr Beans Sidekick | Well my brother goes to University and he can connect fine there wired or wirelessly.. but when he comes home he cant connect to our wireless internet no matter what he does? he can connect with a cable.. the exact same problem happens to his gf.. anyone know why? |

| can anyone (ie, you) connect wirelessly (SP?) to your home router/modem? I am guessing it is locked down, and needs to be opened up... someone else will have to give you directions, I'm going to bed. If that isn't it, give more info please. |

| Most likely it has to do with how your home wireless is set up. Do you have it locked? Does it need a WEP key? Is it set up to only allow certain MAC addresses? Also, he may need to adjust his settings - if he has a static IP or a gateway in his settings, they may not work with the home network since they are set up for the University network. |
