| understanding IP banning from forum How can someone get banned from a forum? i've read things where members of a forum get banned via their IP address, but how is that possible when an IP address changes? i am curious about this and been having a discussion about it with a friend of mine. Also if a person is banned is their a way to get back onto the forum? i ask this because on another forum i visit, someone got banned then came back under a different username several times, and the webmaster who usually was verygood couldn't do much.
thanks |

| Well ive been banned from a forum myself and trust me it wasnt because i was being a moron or anything, basically had a argument with someone and this person happen to be best mates with the mod, so yeah you can guess what happened! very childish!?
Anyway i cant get onto this forum, not even to make a new id, it just point blank rufuses to load up! so it must have been an ip ban he did on me |

| Your IP is only Dynamic with DSL or Dial up, (Usally), If you have cable its static and can't be changed unless you call your ISP and ask for a new IP Address, which usally costs money. |

| If you knew how to read, you would have seen I told you how. Call your ISP and ask for a new IP. |

| By reconnecting to the internet or resetting modem. If it is still the same then contact your ISP and ask them to do it. |
