I have a 5mb connection. For some reason if I do a bandwidth benchmark on my computer i only get 1.4mb connection. But another computer in my house gets a full 5mb. What is going on. Also I am on a router but I am on a DMZ.

Check your computer for adware/spyware, because there is something of the sort eating up your bandwidth.

I know that i do not have any spyware adware and or malware. I use Firefox and I have Norton A/V corporate edt. I just scanned it with Bazooka Spyware scanner and it came back with nothing.

check to see if you have any thing interfering with the ethernet and dsl/cable cable connection. for example: speakers, lamps, etc..

Thank you for the answers, I found the problem. It had something to do with me spoofing my MAC addy.
