Question Shared Internet Connection & NetCut!!!

Hi

I share a DSL connection with another 5 people, via a router.
I have 3 questions here:

1) I think some of them use NetCut to cut the internet connection from me. Is there any way to detect who's using this program, and who's actually NetCutting me. I want any solution, either by using a software dediced to f*** this program, or a neater way using built-in windows functionalities.

2) Is there any other software to do the same job that NetCut do?

3) Is there a guaranteeed-to-work software to optimize the shared internet connection for my PC. They're all the day dling, dling, acquiring the whole bandwidth, untill I got mad.

Thanx in advance for those who will give their time to solve any of the 3 questions above?

Default Re: Shared Internet Connection & NetCut!!!

Who is the PRIMARY person on the ISP account, and who owns the network hardware? That person should be in charge of making sure everyone is getting equal use of the internet... If the others are merely downloading, ask them to do that at night when no one is using the bandwidth.

As far as NetCut, I am not at all familiar with the software, but it looks as though it can be used for DOS attacks (by ARP Spoofing) WITHIN the LAN, which you might be experiencing...
