Default setting up a vpn

ok, if you dont know what it is please dont post, i am currently working on setting up a vpn between 2 business computers at my shop and 2 home computers, the home computers are networked wirelessly using linksys-b hardware (router), the 2 shop computers are networked wired over CAT-5 and a linksys router

they both use the same ISP, which is cox, it is a cable connection, i know that the way cox works is by assigning your cable modem's mac address an ip address, then adding the ip address to their network, so basically your PC in on a network with all the other PCs on cox cable, i dont know if that will help any but i figured i should add all i know

what i am wanting to do is just file sharing, im not worried about setting up mail servers or anything too advanced, i just want to be able to pull files from home to work and vice-versa

all pcs are windows xp save 1, it is windows 2000

thanks in advance
