| I would like to set up a remote share that is accessible via the Internet from my home computer. I am already familiar with setting up network shared folders, but only within a LAN environment. I would imagine the same sort of basics apply to a WAN environment as well, but I am unsure as to what port numbers, if any, need to be forwarded for me to connect to the share via the Internet. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. |

| Dope Tech | to access your lan's file and print sharing from a remote location, you can setup a vpn connection to your home network lookup vpn client and server on the following link http://www.onecomputerguy.com/networking.htm or you can use pc anywhere to perform the file transfer. or you can setup an IIS (web) server to share your files.
