Wireless N is not finalized. It is still in draft form. So buying a router now will not guarantee that it will work when N Draft gets finalized. Stick with b/g for now.

Linksys is tops for routers. Nuff said.

Wireless N had been around too long to not be finalized, it's getting annoying, how you put out hardware that runs off of a non-finalized structure, and why is it legal? N will probably get passed up before it does get finalized anyway, lol.

Heck, even slow B is still uber fast in terms of speed. The speeds they say they carry are theoretical until you actually have hardware or a router that can push data at said speeds.

So yeah, Linksys, the most reliable I have owned, second best would probably be D-Link, but then you have to weed out their garbage products to find their good stuff.

I can't quite agree. I have had both Linksys and DLink and the DLink has been far more reliable than the LinkSys. I also had a LinkSys router after they were bought out by Cisco. Even that wasn't as good as my DLink router.

But for a wireless router the Linksys are far better than most i have seen. The one Peter suggested is great. But then again i have not run a wireless setup yet. The DLink my buddy has is great and has been working for years now.

I dont know currently we only bought routers from Dlink. We have many of Dlink. One is the bad DI-624 which has a disconnection problem.

I just speak from experience, the two D-link routers I have owned were less reliable than my Linksys (a Cisco model by the way)

i have a D-Link DI-625 and love it.
it just runs and is always up.

all linksys i've worked with imo sucked. always needed to be restarted and re-configured....it literally lost it's port forwarding settings every day! wtf!

i love working with cisco's but linksys has never given me the quality.

i'd rather run my old 3COM StackerIII router over a new linksys
