Default Remote Desktop with Media Center

Does remote desktop work using xp media center as your host's os? if so, i am trying to use a laptop with xp home to connect, will this work also?

I know that media center is just XP Pro with additional media features, so yea it should have RDC server for the host.

yep. you can't host with xp home though, but you can send

alright, then could someone assist me in setting it up? i have enabled it on both machines, i have checked to make sure that the windows firewall will allow the exception on it, they are both on the same network, but still no luck. am i missing something?

you have to know the ip. hit ipconfig from the cmd prompt. it will give you the number 192.168.XXXXX

you also have to enable a password. check these too.
