Default Remote Access via PCAnywhere

Please help if you can.

Here is the situation:

(At Work) I'm able to remote control my host comp with my client comp via PCAnwhere on my LAN.

but when I go home I am unable to connect to the host (at work) with my client computer at home...

Please help :-(

I am guessing they use a firewall to block outside access. You may have to go with VPN.

Yhea a VPN look's like the way to go, Hamachie (not sure of the spelling) is a good choice, but you might have to get the administrator to approve it.

Cool, thats what I thought I had to do.

But another quick questions.

How does a service like GoToMyPC work without having firewall issues.

Reason why I asked is because I was using GoToMyPC service before PCAnywhere and it work fine.

GoToMyPC generally (by default) works over 80 and 443 (HTTP and HTTPS....used for web browsing) where as pcA uses ports 5631 and 5632 by default.
