Depends on where you live. I think TDS is avlaiable throught the US, and they seem pretty good. I have a friend who has earthlink and doesn't have any horror stories that I know of. A general rule of thumb though: If you saw it on TV, think hard before getting it. Don't get AOL, Juno, or PeoplePC online or any of the other "budget" ISPs. Sure they have good prices, but Juno for one tries as hard as it can to get ads galore on your machine, and doesn't even give you POP email. One way or another, you'll pay $20 a month, whether you pay $20, or $10 in cash and $10 in crappy service, ads, downtime, and frustration.
