I'm looking to get satallite internet and was wondering what are some good deals that are out there for it?

What companies do you all use?

i haven't looked into satellite in a while, but the last time i did it really wasn't worth it with the outages, extremely slow upload speeds, and outrageous prices. i haven't heard anything about it being any different, someone correct me if im wrong.

The thing about satellite is that it is really bad for online gaming because it has huge latencies.

For satellite internet, you need to have a dialup connection (for upstream traffic) anyways. Plus it is slow and expensive. Considering you need to have a dial up connectin regardless, you might as well get dialup :/

I think a few satteltie internet serivces now allow upload through the satellite. It is still slow and with a huge latency (signal has to travel ar least 44000 miles), however. And on top of that, I beleive you must apply for some sort of license in order to transmit depending on what country you live in.
