Hi,

I'm at a university that uses a proxy server for all our connections. I have to set up all internet applications to use https through the proxy port 80. I have installed an online tutoring application that connects to its own server. The program has no options to set a proxy server. I have tried programs such as proxycap to try and get the program to use my proxy settings, username and password with no sucess. I'm desparate to get this to work. Can anyone help????

You should contact the local admin to see if they can open a port in the firewall for your application.

I have talked to them, they won't, stupid university crap. There must be away to get around it???????
