| I am on a college network and out of nowhere my programs stopped being able to connect to the internet. It was fine this morning, and I was on Steam and Xfire. I restarted Steam and it couldnt connect, but Xfire was still on. I thought that it was just a Steam issue, so I restarted my computer. When I restarted, neither Steam nor Xfire could connect, but I can still use Internet Explorer and Opera, and a Yahoo! widgets thing that I have still connects to the internet. I tested Ventrilo and another multiplayer game, and neither could connect. Actually, Steam and Ventrilo both stop responding when I try to connect. I did a virus scan and ran Adaware, had no viruses and just some cookies, which I deleted. I also tried a system restore to a point where it was fine, and that didnt work. I disabled windows firewall and AVG, still nothing. Help? |

| I just found out that it isnt just me, it must be a network problem. I very seriously doubt that the University of Alabama is going to block 27,000 students from using programs using the internet. Oh well, guess I just need to wait for the techies to fix it. |
