| Okay, I want to set up a vpn so my friend can grab things off my computer. I have a dlink router, and I am trying to figure out what the deal is. I registered with dyndns.org and got the client installed and it seems to be updating fine. I tested out with another machine at my house and it did not go through. I am not sure what port I should open up on the firewall to let people in and out. Please help!!! Thanks!!! |

| Your firewall is probably blocking it and giving you the not available... try it from outside your house, you maybe surprised... your firewall is doing this because, you have a connection coming from the WAN that says it originated from the LAN...(*typical spoofing activity*)... You may need to look at the ports that your router listens on, port forwarding. .. OR probably setting up a DMZ to get VPN to work... connect to the machine from your other machine using its internal address/name.... |
