I recently built an HTPC box to use mainly as an audio server/internet surfer. I plan to dual boot XP pro and Ubunutu. I got everything working yesterday. I installed windows XP on a 10GB NTFS partition. It installed fine, but I cannot connect to my network. I used the same cable from my WRT54GL that was working fine with another PC. When I try to set up an internet or network connection in XP using the wizard, it doesn't work at all. When I look at the TCP/IP settings, it says "unavailable". I am sure I missed something simple or failed to install something, that's why I am here Also, I installed Windows first and have not yet installed Ubunutu. I use roadrunner cable service as my ISP.

My setup:

GIGABYTE GA-M61P-S3 Socket AM2 NVIDIA GeForce 6100 ATX AMD Motherboard

AMD Sempron 64 3000+ Manila 1.6GHz 256KB L2 Cache Socket AM2 Processor

2x Kingston ValueRAM 512MB 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 533 (PC2 4200)

onboard video

onboard LAN slot

onboard audio

Any help on where to start would be appreciated.
