Default Network Problem

I have a Linksys Wireless-B 802.11b. For some reason my brother's computer can't connect to the internet and I can when using the router. He tried turning off firewalls, reinstalling the software, and I also tried basically resetting up the network.
Is the problem possibly with the router or his computer?

Try connecting his computer directly to your modem (DSL, cable?) to see if you have any interference or other issues with the wireless router.

We are on the same workgroup. Both of our computers can connect to the internet when directly connected to the DSL modem(external), but of course only one of us can be on at a time.Right now we're taking turns on who gets to connect to the modem directly. I have XP home he's got XP Pro. We both connected to the internet on the router for a few months until this problem came up. Since its a wireless router can interference from other signals disrupt the connection, but if that's true I shouldn't be able to connect either, that was just a thought I had.

check to see what kind of Ping do you get on your bro's computer.
can you ping the router? the LAN IP and the WAN IP? can you ping your computer? what do you get on winipcfg? does it get an IP from the dhcp on the router?

oops very sorry I didn't mention. it's a wireless router but we're not using the wireless option. It was given by the ISP. We connect to the router by ethernet cables. The router model # is BEFW11S4.
