Default Netgear WG311 v2 dosnt work with vista...please help
i just bought a netgear 54mbps wireless PCI adaptor
32-bit pci WG311
(thats all thats on the front of box)

and it doesnt work with vista...i spent like 7 hours talking with the incompetent people at tech help that kept saying **** like "reinstall it" and "put it in a different slot"
one guy said that it might not work with amd athlon processor.
sounds like they give out bs to anyone with vista because they dont want anybody to know it doesnt work with vista..

yes, i downloaded all the latest drivers..

Dont bump your topics within 24 hours. It is after midnight in many places in the USA and it is like 5AM GMT. Not many people online.

According to their own website it is Vista compatible.

Check their site. Got the latest BIOS? It says 5.0 is the latest.

There is the whole manual. You read thru that and follow it?

sry about the bump.

anyways on the vista support page there is no WG311 v2 there is only v3...
what is the link for a download that u provided?

That is the owner manual PDF file. Check that to make sure you set it up right.
