My connection Stops

Just got a new computer, with windows XP and I just recently hooked it up to the net, it goes fine for like an hour then the connection just stops and i have to restart the computer before it comes back. Please Help Me!

what type of inet connection, cable dsl dialup?

what version of xp home or pro?

Supposedly its cable, but i had to set it up through the dsl connection wizard, when I tried to do it through the cable setup it didnt work

Some times it stays on for a day, like when I'm not using it
, but just now it cut out after being connected for like 5 minutes
