Default Modem problem

My dialup connection keep switching off, especially on first connection attempt. After several attempts it will stay on and then switch off again without any obvious reason.
What might be the reason?

You are going to have to be more specific than that...
List hardware and other specifications.
List the adapters and steps that you take to connect.

This sounds like a remote authentication issue. Make sure that your username/password is typed corectly, and make sure that you have the dialer configured correctly to accept incomming requests for information at connect.

My operating system is XP and modem SupraExpress 56e Pro. The system has been working properly until a while ago.
The user name and password OK as I eventually get connected. I use several providers and have same problem with all of them.
