Question Metronet Broadband

Hi!!
I've been looking around for the best broadband provider, but wanted to go fairly cheap - I only pay £9.99 / month for dial-up, and I don't use the internet ALL the time, but I would like the faster speeds when I do use it.
So I've been considering the options and I found 'pay as you go broadband' by Metronet. It sounds fairly good in terms of cost but have never heard of it before & it's the only company I've found offering this arrangement. I don't want to pay loads to set it up if it's no good so can I ask for any opinions please! The link to the website is:

http://www.metronet.co.uk/adsl/paygo

ANY comments / suggestions etc are gratefully received!

Pablo (UK)

Personally I dont think its the way to go. I dont understand the £ money and the prices, so I dont really understand it that much. But pay as you go internet sounds cheesy. Even if you dont get online much. I dont think I would reccommend it.

I would keep away from PayAsYouGo Internet they are worthless and sometimes, not all the times have fixed download rates - meaning you can only download so much.

I would stick with a fixed rate broadband provider - I mean nowdays you can get 1MB Connection for £17.99 but again this limites you to how much you can download.

And yeah I'm from the UK so if you need any websites which offer good Broadband packages so reply back here - hope this helps.

For sure just get a regular broadband connection. Those
Pay as you go' could have hidden fees.

Well as you know BT offers a great broadband packages, I'm on BT and had no problems with them, I use the £30 Monthly package 1MB (Supposeably they are upgrading for free to 2MB at the same price, soon - but don't know if my line supports it)

try here: www.bt.com/broadband

Here are a few more.

http://www.wanadoo.co.uk/ - Wanadoo.co.uk

http://www.telewest.co.uk - TeleWest - Newcastle etc.

http://www.aol.co.uk - Don't use AOL.

These are off the top of my head, and probably the best ones.

I'm sure if you do a search in google you can find more results

try searching "Broadband" but click UK results only.
