Default Laptop wireless question

What would i need to make a laptop compatible for using internet like if i were in a plane. What wireless acc. would i need to surf the internet from like a plane or something. Is it possible to travel anywhere and still have the use of internet. How much would this all cost?

it depends what u wanna buy.. the best i would say is from netgear .. goto their website, juz wifi card u need to plant in I guess.. and then u need the access rights where u go, like to some cafe, airport etc.

there are three kinda wifi cards available the less expensive and good at work comes with 'g' grade..
