this forum i am subscribed to posts my Ip address along with my post.
is that dangerous. can some one do damage if they know my IP address?

I'm sure there's an option setting on the forum to disable displaying your ip address. As long as your on the internet you can never be safe, but you can take counter measure by installing a firewall getting the latest patches for your OS, antivirus and antispyware software to further minimize the danger. You want to be totally safe? Disconnect your computer from the internet, chain it up and lock it up in the basement.
