Default Internet sharing between windows & Linux?

Hi,

I have a WinXP machine with a wireless usb network adapter. In the same room I have a Linux machine with no internet connection. Is there a way I can make the Linux machine use the XP machine to obtain an internet connection? Both machines have a NIC in them.

Thank you.

Exactly how is the WinXp machine connected to the internet? I assume it is going through a wireless router? If so, what type of router is this?

Yes, the XP machine gets its internet connectio through a Microsoft wireless router, hooked up to a cable modem.
