chiapet Newb Techie Join Date: Jan 2006 Posts: 3	internet problem after xp service pack 2 update I am not able to connect to the internet after I performed an xp service pack 2 update. After doing an IPCONFIG, the forced IP address doesn't pop up. It retains the old IPaddress. What is the problem? SOS! Has anyone had this similar problem?:confused:

Did you check if your configured for a static IP or obtain one automatical through DHCP.

You would find this in Control Panel>Network Connections>Double click active connection>Properties>click TCP/IP> Click Properties.
