I am buying laptops for salesman ...I was going to get standard units with centrino's..that we would use at T mobil hot spots.
Some of the salesmen are saying we can get pci cards with antena's that allow internet access any where. Is the really such a set up available?

link doesnt work well not for me
but you can get a cell phone company like verizon or sprint or tmobile
whatever and they have pci cards with antennas if thats what u are talking about
you do have to pay a monthly fee the price range depends on how fast you want it to be or something u hafta check with the provider for more info
but im not sure if thats what he was talking about
