Right click on the default ftp - properties and then you are able to configure the settings. To begin leave the FTP open to everyone so that you can make sure it is working before setting permissions. The main thing you will need to configure is the home directory - this is where the files will be stored. Make sure you check the read and write. You will change this access later when you set permissions for users.

filezilla seems simpler. I see those options here. here is my question. what do I put in those blanks spots like hosts?

This looks like a client version - are you sure you have the server version?

Use this link FileZilla - Server Download

You shouldnt have to change anything during the install - after install you will see a window come up with an address 127.0.0.1 "loopback address" leave this and check the box that says always connected to this server. Then it should open another window - create some users and groups - then try to connect.

If you want to attempt the IIS FTP - this link you can download a quick doc I made that will hopefully help.

I follow it to a tee. the end was a little confusing. typing in a web address and hitting delete. I'm thinking that you were done then

I also forward my ports and my application through my dlink wireles n router. I assume that is the same at your game option on your router

but I still have this problem. I don't know how to access my files from somewhere else. I'm a complete newbie to this

typing in ftp://192.-168.-0.159 won't even let me access that file from another computer on my network.

shouldn't my link be something.com?
