Default how to increase the bandwidth

i have a really serious doubt.........
i would like to know how do i increase the bandwidth/downloading speed while using a 56kbps modem

There isnt really much you can do to speed things up. There is so-called "Optimizers," which dont give you more bandwidth, they just compress some webpages so that you can view them a little faster. Your ISP also has to support this for it to work. I dont think they are worth the extra money that ISPs charge for the service.
