Through a router? If you want it through a router
type this in the address bar in IE
192.168.1.1
Then it will ask you for a user/pass. If you have one enter it. If you dont have a user/pass dont worry just leave the user name blank and type in admin as the password. Go to port forwarding and open up port 80 on the udp and tcp. And have it use your network IP addy.

Name your WebServer?
and OS or router or waht?

Most WebServer are Default set with open 80 port.

Also all the PC are with open 80. this is where they receive the
reqested pages from the WebServer.

Now. How did you close it, Maybe is same how you will open it.

if you are not behind any type of firewall or router, and you still cant webserve, your ISP may have blocked usage on port 80.

Try there to see if port 80 comes up open. If it is green and not many other ports are (if this is the case then make sure all your comps are firewalled, cause your router isn't protecting you), then your isp probably blocks it. Call 'em to make sure. If you are onc able, check the terms of service. Some cable providers forbid servers of any kind (stupid cable companies...*restrains himself*).

EDIT: almost forgot, if your isp blocks prot 80 but does not forbid servers, some services, like DynDNS let you redirect a url to another url, so you can actually host off a different port.

is there any free service that will redirect an url to say http://IP:1234 since my ISP does block port 80. services like dot.tk dont recognize ip address domains, much less one with a port number!

Yes there is small program (ProxyServer)
the name was something like HTTPBrute or something.

It is bypassing the proxy server of your ISP and is using local proxy server from your machine so you can configure it the way you like.

I tried it - it work.

Here we go I got the name:

HTTPort 3.SNFM

Download it from somewhere...

What you do is type the ISP - IP in the properties.
then Type Other Public Proxy server (Anon - will be great)
Also you can make port mapping.
with out other proxy.
When I did it work but was very slow, as you cennecting directly to the pages and who know how many moons walk they are......
