How can I set up a wireless network!!

I have "wireless internet" not dsl/cable
I have this http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg...onics&n=172282

inside my desktop computer, expect instead of the "air" black antenna at the end I have a black wire pluged into the end of the card and it leads to out side my home to a satilite.
How can I step up a way so I can use the internet on my labtop through my desktop connection?

Make a computer into a wireless router.

Use Linux.

Buy another wireless PCI card and assuming you have wireless abilities in your laptop you can network the desktop and laptop up, use the desktop as a gateway and make the laptop share the desktops internet connection.

You need the desktop to be on for the laptop to get a signal and you need to tell the computer to share the connection, I don't know how to do that on a MAC, only windows - sorry!

Alternatvly, find out if you can plug the wire from your satalite into an adapter to foit it in a wireless router...

How do you do this one Windows?

If I get a wireless PCI card for a laptop then how can I get the desktop to send a signal without a router? all the routers i see have the ethernet plug which I do not use for my connection.

Where are you getting the signal from? Is that an AIR CARD from a phone company?
