Question hosting a website

I'm trying to host a website but I need a little guidance. Fisrt off I want to host from my computer so I dont have to pay for service. I have a cable Internet access and I know my IP is dynamic but even if it does change I reistered for No-IP.com. Now what I need to know is how to put the website on the web and how to make my computer a server. Thanks in advance

There are numerous programs you can use. For example I did a quick search on google and this was on the top of the list:

if you have winXP pro or win2K (server?) you can run IIS. if you just want something simple goto download.com and search for freeware/ shareware HTTP server software. I know for a fact they have some good free ones, I've tried many of them.

All you tell them is you like downloading all night long, or that your adicted to a game. You can also just tell them you like to upload files to your friends, you share back and forth. As long as you dont tell them you host a server.... Everytime I told them that they just said ok and left me alone. Most isps wont bother wasint their time with you.

Vitalwerks and/or its suppliers wholly own all articles, illustrations, programs, services, processes, designs, software, technologies, trademarks, trade names, inventions, and materials comprising No-IP.com.

does this mean anything you write, they own?
