Default duel lan ports make internet faster?

if i where to get a mobo with two Internet ports on it, and had them both pluged in would the Internet run faster?

well i ask because i go to boarding school, and my room has two ports in it (used to be a room for two, and its a single now)

you can use one for incoming and the other for outgoing. thats about it.

Only if you use 2 modem both with a internet connection to them.

u only need one. The other is pointless unless u have a wireless internet adapter n dont want to switch back n forth to wired, like taking it out n putting in the other.

i think it can be done but requires some interesting software and routing, this is only a hypothetical though. for practical purposes the answer is no, though ISDN basically does this in a different way. by plugging in two ethernet adapters you are only providing two seperate routes to the internet, not improving the bandwidth.
