Default Dell Router-No internet

i use comcast internet, and they just started using those changin ip adresses and i use a dell 802.11b router and it can't handle ip adresses like that. dell says there getting a fix, but will software fix it, or will i need to go out and buy a new router. (right now every 2 days i hardwire the internet into our base computer and copy the ip adress and paste it in to the router utilitie (pretty messy) does anybody know of a fix that isn't from dell thats alread avalible?!?!?!?!?!

It's going to be a firmware update (software) keep up with their website for the latest patch.
