how would the person who installed it not know how to uninstall it.. cyberpatrol blocks im, downloads, spam etc. ask him/her again for the password or w.e is required for the administrator of the copmuter to unlock/disable it... he/she will obviously know.

start>add/remove programs....wait for the list to populate then find it and remove it. That should fix it.

Honestly, if I bought a used laptop from someone, my first action would be to wipe it and resinstall the OS if they hadn't done so already. You never know what viruses or other crud is on there.

My one friend and I appeared as bad guys on some software manufactures website once for helping people crack their parents web filtering software. They quoted us and said that they could defend against that sort of activity, the next day i told everyone how to break that particular vendors software, those idiots.

My advice, just format and start fresh. Wipe it as cleanly as you can, he could have been a child pornographer.
