Default connecting internet in redhat 9

Hello mates,

I am hitting my head on wall. Last year I did connect one redhat box on my LAN server. One machine has redhat 9 and I want to connect to the internet on my LAN. server is win2k sever. Please guide me

i know this is a internet question but i think a better place for this is the linux forum. just cause you have a better chance of a person knowing linux to see it. sorry i cant help though

I couldnt figure it out either. Ubuntu was a piece of cake, just enable DHCP and set your gateway, couldn't figure it out in Redhat. I thought it would be fun to have a linux box, I quickly realized that I need Windows to do anything productive.

Havent used Red Hat 9 but
make sure the NIC is enabled i had issues with Mandrake 10.1 and i set the NIC to enable on boot and it worked.

Try the Config/control panel if you are using KDE ( I think )

EDIT: on second thought there should be a default CONFIGURE MY COMPUTER option

Yae now that I think of it, I think my problem was getting Red Hat to recognize and use my NIC
