Default Changing hard IP?

is it possible to change or cover up completely your hardwares actual IP address from not just web site, but from all programs?

what do you mean by programs?
programs run at the Application layer and have nothing to do with networking......

I mean like programs that check for the real IP of a computer

a good example would be punkbuster

No you cant. The IP is given by your ISP and if you'll done something bad to Punkbuster, then too bad.

Ehh the REAL IP, the one that never actualy changes on a WAN port??? The MAC addy???.... You can't change that actualy...

I had a friend whose MAC IP addy completely disappeared. even the ISP couldn't detect anything, and I think it even went so far as to confuse the ISP's so he didn't have one there either *course, this happened due to an exceptionally LARGE virus proliferation!*

yes you can change your mac address its called spoofing....

heres a link for some other methods other then spoofing
Changing MAC addresses on Windows 2000 and XP

heres a program that will spoof for you NIC MAC Address Change (Spoofing) for Windows VISTA, XP, 2003, 2000
