| i have a desktop with usb cable modem internet conection an i wanted to go on the internet on my laptop so i bought 2 belkin wireless network cards (one 4 desktop, one 4 laptop)and i used the netwrk setup wizard 2setup a netwrk and i did get an internet connection on my laptop but it was pathetically slow and most websites i went on said "this page cannot b displayed". Are these two wireless network cards adequete to get the internet connection on my laptop or do i need a route or something?please help someone ![]() |

| hmmm,.,, yes,,, you need a wireless router,, to send the signal to the wireless Network cards that you have installed, you would connect the USB cable modem to the wireless router,, and then set up your other PC's remember to add the DNS IP's into your network settings on the remote pc's,, this will help tremendously,, cheers,

| arite cheers mate! but as my desktop is connected to the cable modem already if i connect a router to the modem do i need a wireless network card for that computer as it is already connected to the internet so don't i just need the network card for the laptop and to wirelessly connect it to the router? and secondly cud u explain wot u mean by add the dns ips to ntwrk cuz im not very good with computers! thanks |
