| i know this is outdated but at my residence im using dial up for lack of access to something better but my problem is that windows 98 (got kicked out so im using my ****** old pc) wont read my modem i have it set as the right modem because i used everest home edition to find out which one i have im not at my home comp right now but i think its something like standard 560000bps modem had another part in it but i forget any1 know what the problem may be help would be extremely apreciated |

| Check device manager for any error indication, make sure you install the correct driver. Is it a legacy modem? sometime you need to set jumpers on the modem if it's not Plug and Play. |
