Default cant see my computer on network

right.

i've managed to get my computer and my girlfriends computers connected.

when i go into her shared docs on her computer, u can see mine aswell.

but, on my computer i cannot see hers.


my computer is the host, and miens is the one that connects directly to the internet.



please help!

okay, jsut found her computer, it says i dont have permission to access her computer.

how do i get permission?

run the network wizard on her computer, right click on the root drive, sharing and security, and i understand, and then share it.

If you're looking to share one certain folder instead of the root drive (C then just right click the folder you want to share. Then click "sharing and security". Then check the box that says share this folder on the network. You can also check the box that says "allow network users to change my files" if needed.

These instructions are for XP which I'm assuming that is the OS you're running.
