Hi i just bought a Realtek RTL8139/810x Family Fast Ethernet NIC. The thing is WinXP cant intsall it i get a data invalid error when winodws is trying to install the driver. Ive tried redownloaded the driver from Realtek's site but still that didnt work. Here is a screenshot of the error i get


Ive got WinXP and a Gigabyte GA-8IR533 motherboard.

EDIT: I hust checked out Gigabyte's website to see if there were any updates for BIOS. I currently have F3 and the newest update is F5. Could this be the problem?

Which driver did you try and download?
They have a auto install program thats about 2 MB. Is that tye one you got or did you just try the driver alone?
Get the app if you didn't and try it again.
