| You could try and provide us with a little more information especially about your router's brand and model. You want to first see if 192.168.1.1 is actually the IP address of your router (the default gateway) by opening command prompt and issuing the command ipconfig /all. Then you can try and ping the IP address to test the communication process between your computer and the router. For example pinging your default gateway IP address would be done like this below: ping ip address example ping 192.168.1.1 If you get a reply then it's communicating. If you trying to access the router's web management through a wireless connection, sometime the router's feature will disable to feature for security reason, therefore it's recommended to use a wired computer for management or to enable it. |

| The big thing is to make sure 192.168.1.1 is your router's ip address. Bring up a command prompt (start -> run -> cmd -> enter). Type ipconfig /all and look at the default gateway Ip address. Use that in your web browser. (http://default gateway ip). It will probably be something like 192.168.1.1, 192.168.2.1, 192.168.0.1 or the like If that still doesn't work, then you should try doing it with a wired connection.

| It's possible that if you are broadcasting you wireless signal then your neighbors can sometimes connect to your network. Make sure you are not braodcasting the signal. Also, someone posted a good comment about making sure your default gateway is 192.168.1.1. I know mine is is not that default one. You can also check who is connected to your network. |

| Reset your router (There's usually a button on the bottom or side that you can push with a pin)... Then make sure your wireless network is SECURE. It's unbelievable how many unsecure wireless networks are around... I can get 4 signals from unsecure networks from my bedroom! All my neighbors have wireless modems, and none of them know how to secure it (I doubt they even know what that is) ![]()
