Default can't get the mobo LAN to work , this should be easy

Hi ,

I am using an ASUS p4p800 SE board with LAN onboard.
I have a Cable internet connection till 3 mb per second...

Problem , when I cleanly install windows xp sp1 (which i like)
and install the drivers that come with the MOBO cd-rom included ,
Marvell drivers, and reboot the system, I get as IP 0.0.0.0.0
and no internet is possible.

When I use a interface 1/10 MB internet card in the mobo's pci slot, it works without having to install any drivers. I can't figure out what the heck i'm doing wrong, the guy from the cable company made the mobo LAN work in seconds, I need to know it too.

When I try to go to a webpage, it reads all the way in the status bar, ....... dahm i can't remember , something dshoc.....

please assist
