Default Can't connect to the net, help!

I built a new pc recently (1 day ago) and it won't connect to the internet.

It's a broadband cable internet, I'm on a network with another computer as well, using a Broadband router. The old computer I had connected to the network and I could get on the internet fine.

I was told that my mobo (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813131530) could support the internet without a network card.

I also tried pinging ANY site and I couldn't get a response

Obviously I am new at building a computer (first timer) HELP PLZ!

If there isn't a GREEN LED on when you plug in the cable, it is likely that the cable is bad, or possibly a port on either end of the cable. If you have a spare cable, try using that between the computer and a different LAN port on the router. If you don't have an extra cable, 'borrow' the cable from your other PC for a few minutes.

Additionally, did you install the Drivers for the NIC card? they should be located on CD (or DVD maybe) packaged with the motherboard.

With the cable plugged in, perform the following, and post it here...
START > RUN > type 'CMD' > type 'IPCONFIG /ALL'
Let us know what the IP address, subnetmask, & defaut gateway values are set to.
