Can a Client Machine join more then 1 domain

As the subject says....You can have a local login on the drop down, and then you have to domain login, can i add another domain to that list?

i have a teacher that has a laptop from another school set up for there domain and when they bring it here i would like them just to have on the drop down to select our domain from the list and log on to our system.

Yes, you can add it to multiple domains.

Right click My Computer, select the Computer Name tab, Click the change button, type in the domain, authenticate, reboot. (this applies to Windows XP)
